**Position Title: Aboriginal Cultural Programs Manager**

**Location: Gosford**

**Primary Purpose**:
The Aboriginal Cultural Programs Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of initiatives to enhance Aboriginal cultural awareness and capability within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). This includes overseeing the coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of the NSW Health Respecting the Difference cultural awareness program. The manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create various learning initiatives specifically for Aboriginal cultural competence. The goal is to foster culturally safe and responsive workplaces and health services for staff, patients, carers, families, and visitors.

This position is part of the Aboriginal Workforce Development Unit, which plays a crucial role in providing leadership and direction across the District. The unit focuses on guiding the District's progress in achieving Aboriginal workforce-related objectives outlined in the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, NSW Health Good Health Great Jobs Aboriginal Workforce, and Respecting the Difference Frameworks.

**About You**:

- You are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individual with a strong passion for enhancing outcomes within the community.
- You possess a tertiary qualification or significant work experience in areas such as employment, student support and development, health, or community.
- Your background includes hands-on experience in coordinating, implementing, or supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing attraction, recruitment, retention, and development of Aboriginal staff.
- You recognize the significance of cultivating a robust and skilled Aboriginal workforce to contribute to the health and well-being of our community.
