- **We are on the hunt for an experienced State Manager, who is motivated and ready to get stuck into a new position that will see you leading and growing the Melbourne based branch**
Very rare opportunity for a motivated individual to head up an Engineering Consultancy in Victoria. You will be working with an established and reputable Perth based company that specialises in structural, civil, electrical, hydraulic, facade & mechanical engineering. The State Manager plays a pivotal role in directing and coordinating the day-to-day functions of our clients business, with a front-facing role to staff and clients; so alignment with our clients company is crucial
**Who will you be working with?**
Our client is an innovative and diverse company, whose goal is to build long term partnerships with their clients who look to them to deliver simple, efficient, uncomplicated design solutions. The role itself is newly created as our client is looking to move into the Melbourne space. With a great team of senior directors, who consistently deliver on repeat business, this is an opportunity for someone skilled to step in and lead / grow their own team. Not only will you be supported to reach your full potential but we will help to build a team and office around you
Senior management is hands-on, motivated and supportive of long-term strategic perspectives which is why they are wanting to branch out into another state and assist the individual in any way they can to build this team. With architects and clients ready to go and projects awaiting the onboard of a State Manager, this is a position not to miss

**What will you be doing?**
- Oversee Operations for the State - conduct audits, reviews and submit reports
- Maintain strong, positive, and long-lasting relationships with clients and other senior leaders
- Promotion of safety as a principal value
- Promote and monitor compliance with HRMS Management system for Quality, Safety and Environment alongside all company processes
- Recruitment and retention of staff; performance reviews, welfare checks, evaluating training requirements
- Identify risks and opportunities for business development
- Lead project pre-planning and post-project reviews, identifying lessons learned and implement continuous improvement
**Ideal background**:
- Significant demonstrated experience in a Project Management, Operational Lead or a Business Development role
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to achieve wider company goals
- Have advanced leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise at a high level and with a diverse range of stakeholders
- High level of initiative and be able set and clearly communicate business targets and expectations aligned with our clients values to your wider team
