Situated on the picturesque Kangaroo Bay Marina in Bellerive, The Waterfront Hotel offers a true waterfront dining and entertainment experience. The bistro is renowned for its unique setting and quality local produce, with a strong emphasis on Tasmanian seafood. During the week, the C-bar is the perfect spot for a quiet drink with friends, a light meal, or coffee. On weekends, our locals come to enjoy live music in the evening and Sunday sessions in an al fresco setting. Our focus is on delivering a quality experience in every aspect, from food and drink to entertainment.
**What you can expect in a day in the role**:
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be expected to be hands-on with the daily operations, including gaming across the Hotel. You’ll lead and manage a close-knit team during your shift, always ensuring exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships within the community.
Your duties will include, but not limited to;
- Supervise and lead the team on shift to complete all requirements- Support and provide exceptional customer service, assisting with handling complaints and issues during the shift- Assist with staff scheduling and break management in coordination with the Hotel Manager.- Ensure health, safety, gaming and hotel operations procedures are followed**What you will bring to the role**:
- Demonstrated practical experience in the delivery of quality customer service, preferably in the areas of food and beverage, and gaming- Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team- Well-rounded, current gaming knowledge, and applied knowledge of relevant legislation/regulations applicable to the hospitality industry- Availability and flexibility to work a variety of night and weekend shifts which may include public holidays- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificates**What you can expect from us**:
