**The Opportunity**

The **IT Systems Manager (Full Time)** role offers a rare opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join our team You will provide daily support to all aspects of the IT functions and systems throughout the hotel including monitoring operational requirements, researching strategies and technology solutions, and building cost effective strategies to achieve business objectives.

This is a stand-alone position, however you will have the full support of the Marriott International IT network. This opportunity will allow you to combine a passion for hospitality (and tourism in general) with your interest in driving our IT function.

**Key Accountabilities**

Reporting to the General Manager, this role requires exceptional stakeholder management, attention to detail, strong influencing and communication skills and a collaborative approach. You will also work closely with the Area Director of IT Operations for Marriott International.

You will:

- Manage the day-to-day IT operations for the hotel and embed IT systems, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of customers on a daily basis
- Manage all computer technology contracts and supervise the activities of external contractors where required
- Build and maintain positive and effective relations with other members of the Hotel, Regional IT, properties and technology partners and respond efficiently to both guest and colleague queries
- Ensure the on-going integrity of all hardware and software including effective preventative and remedial measures
- Effectively execute process and procedures for systems management including patching, pre-emptive maintenance, upgrades, backup, disaster recovery planning and testing as well as user ID management and Audit controls.
- Develop and implement computer and network operations according to Marriott and hotel requirements
- Provide associates with training and support at the property
- Salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation

**About you**
- Suitable qualifications in technology, 2+ years' experience in similar role and proven experience establishing IT systems across a business
- Working knowledge of hotel property management systems (preferred), strong knowledge of Server and Active Directory Architecture and Security implementation
- Skilled in LAN Networks and Desktop Operating IT and Desktop Management (GPO)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for service excellence
- Strong ability to problem solve and think on your feet - solutions focused
- Demonstrated experience to work autonomously, strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Passionate, resilient and able to drive and improve performance

**Highly Desirable**
- Experience in Hospitality Operations and IT support roles preferred
