We believe life’s about possibilities. And so is the future. That’s why we need you.

We’re working at the heart of Queensland’s energy transformation. Now more than ever, we need people who want to help us deliver a world-class energy future and ensure we continue to navigate through this once in a generation energy challenge. Join us and make it happen.

**A career that matters and lasts**:
As the **Capex Lead** you’ll help us connect a more sustainable energy future for more than five million Queenslanders and 241,000 businesses. Your work with us is about every light turned on, every community connected, and every future made possible.
- 24 month fixed term contract
- Drive the development of capital expenditure forecasts within Powerlink to support the delivery of a world-class energy future
- Provide strategic and technical input to the Reset team and, where necessary, senior Powerlink management regarding Powerlink’s capital expenditure forecasting approach
- Represent Powerlink during engagement with customers, other stakeholders and the AER.

We believe every employee deserves the opportunity to enjoy a work-life balance that enhances their overall wellbeing and performance through inclusive and supportive benefits.

**Ask us about**:

- Flexible & hybrid working options
- Career development
- Health & wellbeing programs
- Leave offerings (including 14 weeks paid parental leave - at full or half pay, plus additional leave purchasing)
- Inclusive workplace facilities
- Free undercover secure parking, with access to onsite charging stations for electric vehicles

**The opportunity**:
As a **Capex Lead** you will drive the capital expenditure (capex) process for our upcoming regulatory revenue reset. This role is essential for leading both network and non-network capex activities in alignment with Powerlink’s strategic direction.

In this position, you will support and guide the Reset team to achieve strategic outcomes aligned with Powerlink’s objectives. You will be responsible for providing both strategic and technical advice to senior management and the broader team regarding Powerlink's capex approach. This will involve collaborating with other Reset Team Leads and business units to identify and forecast future business requirements.

You will also manage and coordinate external resources such as independent advisors and contingent staff, ensuring alignment with the project scope and timelines. Representing Powerlink, you will engage with customers, stakeholders, and the AER to present and justify our capex proposals. This includes the development, quality control, and coordination of capex-related documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all outputs.

**The people you'll join**:
Based in Brisbane, you will join our Revenue Reset Team within the Energy Futures division, reporting directly to the Director Revenue Reset.

**What you'll bring**:

- You will have a proven track record in stakeholder engagement and working collaboratively across multiple divisions.
- A thorough understanding of the National Electricity Rules and the regulatory environment in which Powerlink operates is essential.
- You should also have the ability to influence and guide teams effectively, ensuring consistent delivery of strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

Ideally, you will also bring additional qualifications in Engineering, Economics, Law, Finance, or another relevant discipline. Project or program management experience would be beneficial.
