**About the role**

This is a newly created role within a dynamic team which works across the Department and NSW government agencies to deliver the NSW Education Wallet program

The role is also responsible for
- Leading and mentoring the program management team
- Collaborating with senior executive to ensure they are informed and enabled to make decisions
- Managing the program overall’s program schedule, budget, risks and benefits.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) or be willing to obtain
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the **value** of public education.

**Key knowledge and experience**

Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

***About you**
- Experience and relevant skills in research administration, financial and business management, demonstrated in education or a similar complex environment.
- High level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure, and organise own work and others to meet competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptive, flexible, collaborative, and accepting of new ideas.
- Demonstrated experience implementing change management for a fast-paced operational workforce.
