**About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division**
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Years Commitment program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child - in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long-term reforms for the future.

**About the role**
The Programs Officer coordinates and undertakes policy and project development, providing analysis, advice and contributing to the development of a range of projects to support the design and development of complex policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Governments commitments.

The teams are focused on engagement, evidence, policy development, impactful design and program delivery, with a particular focus on strategy, transformation, innovation and best practice, data and experiential insights, and implementation effectiveness. We have a strong focus on engaging with families, communities, and the sector to support children to learn and grow in their early years and beyond.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
