**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:This position works closely with the Clinical Directors in the Obstetric & Gynaecology Department at Mercy Hospital for Women. We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant with a dedication to provide high level support managing the day-to-day administrative operations with a focus on excellence in customer service and continuous improvement of communication, documentation and processes.
- Work in a friendly and values-driven team supporting the critical functions of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department through the provision of high-quality administrative support and roster coordination, including timesheets and assisting with medical staff replacement support.
- Fixed Term Part Time role available (with view to ongoing) 30.4hrs per week.
- Resolve issues as they arise and respond to changes in the needs and expectations to achieve outcomes for the O&G Department.
- Administration of recruitment processes and dissemination of information

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Relevant experience in a similar role within a hospital setting is desirable
- Attention to detail and able to stay focussed in fast paced and changing environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including communication, problem solving and effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Able to work autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, and the ability to learn new systems

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
