Cox Purtell is currently partnering with a membership organization based in Sydney’s CBD that is hiring for a newly created role of Event Manager to organise internal and external corporate events ranging from small to large scale. This role will start out as a temporary and we require someone that can start ASAP. It will be an on-going temp role and there is potential it could convert to something long term

The role is working full time hours, Monday - Friday and it will involve managing a small team of 2-3 Event Coordinators.

Work with stakeholders to organise and execute a range of events, conferences and meetings
Prepare an accurate and comprehensive calendar of events that details recurring events as well as ad hoc / special events for business units.
Research and source venue and catering options for events
Gather post event feedback on the success of events and implement any changes required for ongoing high-quality events.
Develop strong working relationships with external venues and key suppliers
Negotiate offers and agreements with venues and suppliers.
Manage and administer all approved costs associated with events.
Provide leadership to ensure events are delivered within budget
Manage staffing and operational functions reporting to the position:
Manage the performance of team members and conduct regular reviews. Ensure staff have clear accountabilities and development plans that are formally updated annually.
Ensure direct reports receive adequate training, development and coaching in their roles.
Coordinate the team’s general workload and workflow to ensure external / internal customer satisfaction and optimum team effectiveness.

**Key Skills/Experience Required**:
Minimum of 5 + Years experience in corporate end to end event management.
Experience in leading and managing small to medium sized teams.
Have managed a mix of virtual and in person events.
Corporate event experience (Conferences, seminars, exhibitions, workshops etc)
Must be immediately available and open to temp work
