We have an exciting opportunity for an Annual Giving Manager to join our development team. Bell Shakespeare relies on the unwavering support of its family of donors, corporate partners and trusts and foundations - each playing an integral role in the Company’s mission to keep the classics alive, make them their own, and share them with all Australians. The development team manages the Company’s giving programs which currently raise approximately $3m annually.

The Annual Giving Manager will work with our Head of Marketing and Development and our Philanthropy and Major Gifts Manager to grow our community of supporters through building relationships, delivering a program of events and managing annual fundraising campaigns. The role will be required to work closely with all departments, our senior management team and our board of directors.

You will be an organised, detail-oriented self-starter who is personable, warm, collaborative and creative. You will be able to build relationships with stakeholders from many different backgrounds. You will be ambitious, both for yourself, and for the Company.

As part of the Bell Shakespeare team, you will:

- Receive complimentary tickets to all Bell Shakespeare productions

- Be based in a spectacular location at the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct
- Have the opportunity to work within major performing arts venues, including Sydney Opera House, Arts Centre Melbourne and Canberra Theatre Centre

To be considered as a successful applicant we require:
Essential Criteria
- Minimum two years’ experience in development or a similar role
- Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite (In Design and Photoshop)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project management experience
- Sociable and comfortable building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Basic budgeting experience
- Strong team player and able to work autonomously
- Demonstrated attention to detail

Desirable Criteria
- Experience using Tessitura (ticketing and database) or similar CRM database
- Appropriate tertiary qualification
- Project/event management skills and experience
- Experience/interest in the performing arts
