The role

As part of our Maritime - Sustainment group, the Logistics & Stores Officer will support the inventory holding at 44a Tesla road, Rockingham and a number of sustainment programs. The incumbent will also adhere to SAAB procedures, relevant industry and Department of Defence (DoD) standards.
- Have experience being a key member to the Sustainment team delivering optimal logistic outcomes
- Undertake receipt and despatch duties including PHST requirements and manual handling
- Operate material handling equipment such as Forklift, Walkie-Stacker and pallet trolley
- Undertake accurate equipment auditing as instructed
- Maintain and update ERP databases and documentation control pertaining to receipt inspection and deliveries
- Liaise with external freight and customs clearance companies to ensure delivery schedules and budgets are met
- Perform other duties as assigned

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Experience in store and warehouse operations - Forklift ticket required
- Experience with ADF Warehouse and Distribution Service (W&DS) processes including equipment cataloguing/codification and MILIS.
- Computer proficiency in using ERP software and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of quality control processes and Work Health Safety (WHS) practices.
- Experience in Defence Logistics and understanding of DEF-AUST 1000C requirements
- Understanding of Department of Defence Warehouse and Distribution processes
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.
