**The role**:
The Coordinator Community Strengthening and Engagement leads a multi-disciplinary team to driving positive decision making outcomes for Council and better social outcomes for the Whitehorse community. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading a whole-of-organisational approach to community engagement and striving to ensure Council makes informed, evidenced based decisions.
- Championing social equity and inclusion for the Whitehorse community and work strategically to address social disadvantage.
- Creating a high-performance team through building positive team culture, setting priorities and role modelling our CREATe values and behavioursEnsuring services are well planned and are meeting customer needs and expectations.

**About you**:

- You are an effective leader with a strong ability to lead teams and build a high-performance culture.
- You will possess strong strategic thinking abilities and experience in community development and engagement practices with excellent written and interpersonal skills.
- You also have applied project management skills, capable of delivering complex projects with effective outcomes.Experience in building mutually beneficial partnerships is crucial, along with high emotional intelligence to navigate and model our CREATe values in a high-pressure environment.
