Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5/6 Plans and Lessons Officer on a contract for 12 months.
**Position Overview**
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
As the Lessons Officer your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operate in a high tempo and sensitive environment requiring continuous engagement across the Department.
- Accountable for providing accurate, consistent, timely and appropriate advice in relation to Taskforce Lessons activities, working individually or collaboratively to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Collection, data entry and analysis of continuous improvement Observations from Taskforce members and stakeholders to inform Taskforce Lessons Learned.
- Assist with the inclusion of observations in reports and presentations for visibility, approval and implementation of improvement Actions.
- Effectively communicate insight derived from analysis to support decision making.
- Secretariat functions for working groups and forums.
- Contribute to meetings within, or external, to the Taskforce to assist with the implementation of the Taskforce Lessons Framework and development of the new Enterprise Lessons Learned Framework.
- Coordinate the Taskforce Productivity and Wellbeing survey activities including procurement.
- Contribute to the development of procedures, processes and documents for inclusion in the Taskforce Business Management System.
- Support other high priority Taskforce wide activities, as required.

- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Ability to think innovatively to identify and enable opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
**Desirable requirements**:
- Experience in lessons and/or evaluation activities
**Security Requirements**:
- Successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain Baseline Clearance.
