**The role**:
Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Policy Advisor to join their Funds Team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting EL1s and the Director by providing insightful policy advice on government investment funds and assisting with the development and refinement of investment funds' legislation.

As a key member of our close-knit team, you will have the chance to lead and contribute to diverse projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and make a significant impact on national financial policy.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will be an experienced Executive Assistant/Administration officer who has experience:

- Engage with stakeholders within the Finance sector and other Government entities.
- Assist in drafting Cabinet Submissions, New Policy Proposals, ministerial briefings, correspondence, Question Time Briefings, Senate Estimates Briefings, and other parliamentary documents.
- Undertake research and governance tasks related to government investment funds.
- Collaborate in the drafting of legislation, legislative instruments, and associated documents to implement policy decisions effectively.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant academic background in finance, economics, public policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and analysis.
- Knowledge of government investment funds, superannuation, and legislative processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for opportunities in the federal government. A minimum of baseline security clearance is required.
