Holmesglen Private Hospital is seeking a Theatre Booking Clerk to join our team on a fulltime basis. You will play a key role working within our supportive team to ensure our patients have a positive experience during their care.
This role involves working in some of our wards where you will be integral in ensuring our patients are supported and cared for. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and ward nurses, responsible for bookings, pre-admissions, discharge, billing and compiling medical records. Experience with Medical software (i.e. Charm and WebPAS) is essential.

Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services
**As a Theatre Booking Clerk your responsibilities will include**:
- Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
- Input/Manage Theatre Bookings sent from various surgeon rooms
- Prepare quotes/estimates for patients
- Understand and perform health fund checks with MBS item numbers provided by Surgeon rooms
- Assist with preparation of patient files ready for theatre
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
**Essential Criteria**:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- 1-2 years’ medical administration or medical reception experience
- Experience with Medical Software i.e. WebPAS.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
