**Job Title**: Human Resources Business Partner

**Location**: Melbourne, Australia

**Job Summary**: As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for partnering with the business leaders and providing strategic HR guidance to support the achievement of organizational goals. You will serve as a trusted advisor, leading HR initiatives, managing employee relations, implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Provide strategic HR support and guidance to business leaders, offering insights on talent management, organizational development, employee engagement, and succession planning.
- Drive HR initiatives and projects, such as performance management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee and talent development, workforce and succession planning.
- Assist with employee promotions, transfers, layoffs and separations in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular assessments of HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Coach and mentor HR team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high level of HR service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in employment legislation to recommend and implement improvements to HR policies and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement throughout the organization.
- Prepare HR metrics, reports, and presentations for senior management, providing insights into HR initiatives and recommending data-driven improvements.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HRBP or in a similar strategic HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations matters, including complex investigations and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven HR recommendations.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems for HRIS, performance management, and data analytics.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- A relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus - Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, AHRI-CP).
- E-learning or SaaS EdTech experience
