**Who we are**

The Service Victoria culture is dynamic and fast-paced, we're not what you'd expect from a government department. We work flexibly and remotely, using our workspaces in Footscray and Ballarat for onsite collaboration. We have a mature digital services platform of contemporary cloud-based infrastructure, technical architecture and scalable and reusable common capabilities, with real-time integration into agency legacy systems.

Service Victoria is an Administrative Office attached to the Department of Government Services (DGS). DGS was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.

Service Victoria and DGS are bringing important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.

**About the role**

As the Recruitment Manager, you will play a crucial role in attracting, selecting, and onboarding top-tier talent to drive Service Victoria's success.

This position reports directly to the Director, Portfolio Delivery and collaborates closely with Executive Directors and Managers to understand staffing needs and organisational goals.

**To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate**:

- **Knowledge of recruitment practices**: Understanding the latest trends, techniques and strategies in recruitment to attract top talent.
- **Relationship Management**: Sees things from another's point of view and confirms understanding; Understand motivations, needs and wants of stakeholders and their impact on service delivery; Tailor communications according to audience and/or audience preference.
- **Analytical Skills**:Analysing recruitment data, metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement, optimising recruitment strategies and making data driven decisions.
- **Problem-solving Skills**:Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines. Where guidelines are not available, analyses ideas available and takes action through self, or in consultation with others to resolve problems. If required, determine additional information needed to make informed decisions. Applies critical thinking and problem-solving concepts in the right context
- **Organisational Skills**: Understands issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond; Understands the reasons behind the organisational climate and culture
