We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to lead a team in providing efficient and effective general parks and gardens maintenance tasks in the City’s parks and reserves. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. - You provide leadership to ensure safety standards are maintained.
- You lead the team in providing parks and gardens maintenance tasks including:

- Liaising with the Supervisor to implement a regular gardening schedule.
- Removing litter from the area of operation before mowing;
- Implementing correct signage when operating roadside;
- Being accountable for quality and standard of work performance, including productivity and safety.
- You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
- You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
- You are skilled in Traffic management
- You provide on the job training and guidance to employees under supervision.

**What can you bring to the team?**
- Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management or equivalent.
- Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
- Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowers, and relevant equipment.
- Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national drivers’ licence.
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
- Current White Card.
- Current Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller Certificate.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing
