We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to lead a team in providing efficient and effective general bushland maintenance tasks in the City's bushland, estuary and coastal reserves.

You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

  • You provide leadership to ensure safety standards are maintained.
  • You lead the team in providing bushland maintenance tasks including:
  • assessment and monitoring activities within reserves;
- weed identification and spraying;
- fence installation and repairs;
- native species planting;
- tree guarding;
- general bushland and coastal rehabilitation.

  • You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
  • You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
  • You are skilled in Traffic management
  • You provide on the job training and guidance to employees under supervision.

What can you bring to the team?

  • Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management and/or Diploma in Conservation and Land Management.
  • Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
  • Experience in general bushland rehabilitation construction and maintenance activities.
  • Current unrestricted MR or HR class national drivers' licence.
  • Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
  • Current White Card.
  • Current Basic First Aid Certificate.
  • Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controller Certificate.
