We are in the market for an experienced and qualified Horticultural and/or Landscape Architect professional, you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. As the Coordinator, you will lead the City Parks business unit to achieve the business objectives, as detailed within the Strategic, Business, and Asset Management Plans. You will also provide leadership to the City Parks staff, in the pursuit of customer service excellence and risk management.

What can you bring to the team?

  • Degree qualification in a discipline relevant to the field of operations of the position.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture and/or Landscape Architecture or similar.
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent experience in managing Parks and Gardens.
  • Extensive experience and broad knowledge in tenders and contract administration.
  • Experience in successfully managing a large team, including fostering a constructive culture, and performance management.
  • Hold a current unrestricted "C" class national driver's licence.
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management Accreditation.
  • Successfully managing budgets and budget processes.

The finer details

This permanent full-time Level 9 position attracts a salary range of $125,891 to $134,254 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. The position is located at the City's Operations Centre, Park Road, Mandurah, and also includes restricted private use of a Council vehicle.
