MITRE | Australia supports the Commonwealth by delivering on MITRE’s core competencies including, but not limited to: systems engineering and integration; artificial intelligence and machine learning; quantum computing and sensing; autonomous systems; space; cybersecurity, electronic warfare, and information warfare; hyper sonics/counter-hyper sonics; undersea technologies; agile and resilient command and control; next generation C4ISR; nuclear engineering; bioengineering; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; and other cross-domain, leap-ahead technologies.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Work in conjunction with Business Development to develop and execute capture strategies to secure new and/or continuing work
- Develop the entire win strategy to include win theme development, solutions development, competitive assessments, shaping strategy, teaming strategy, Price-to-Win, pricing strategy, and bid/no-bid recommendations to senior management (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments).
- Manage the effective execution of capture pursuits, following the business development process and gate controls, tracking performance to cost and schedule, and communicating ongoing capture statuses to leadership.
- Develop and maintain high quality relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
- Shape opportunities and MITRE Australia’s position throughout the win life cycle.
- Identify and provide all possible measures to enhance the probability of “win” throughout each phase of the growth lifecycle.
- Provide effective team collaboration across both technical staff, government sponsors and international partners to implementation a culture of teamwork, accountability, and transparency in all business alliances.
- Focus and manage the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the vision through final proposal submission and assist in preparation for the execution team to perform post-award.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports of business status progress to leadership and future opportunities to position MITRE Australia for future growth.
- Continue to build and strengthen international relationships through technology collaboration and common interest between countries to provide a safer world
**Required Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 10 years of related business development or sales experience working in partnership with the Australia Government or Industry Partners with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop a capture plan that implements the and translates into win themes.
