Our client is a renowned and leading property development and investment company with a strong presence in Canberra. With a diverse portfolio of projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, they are committed to delivering exceptional quality and creating sustainable communities. They are a team dedicated to pushing boundaries, embracing innovation, and making a positive impact on the built environment. They are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their dynamic team as a Development Manager.

**Location**: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

**Salary Range**: $90,000 to $100,000 + Superannuation

**Role and Responsibilities**

As a Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the development process, from initial concept and design to construction and final delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and financial analysis to identify potential development opportunities.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, government agencies, and community groups.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to inform decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning, zoning, and building regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in property development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
- Sound knowledge of the local property market, development regulations, and approval processes in Canberra.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- A passion for sustainable development and urban design.
