**Policy and Projects Officer**

**Your role**

This role is an opportunity for a disciplined and committed policy professional to make a difference to policy, program, and project responses to domestic, family, and sexual violence through the management of stakeholder relationships and governance.

**What you’ll do**

The Women, Family and Community Safety (WFCS) Directorate leads on policy, program and project responses relating to domestic, family, and sexual violence.

As part of the Relationships and Governance Team in WFCS you will contribute to the coordination and development of whole of government and WFCS responses to domestic, family, and sexual violence policy issues and reports.

You’ll provide Secretariat support to governance groups overseeing or advising on domestic, family, and sexual violence policy, program and project responses in NSW.

**What we’re looking for**

Essential requirements:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as law, psychology, sociology or criminology or equivalent level experience.

We are ideally looking for someone who has:

- A sound understanding of NSW domestic, family, and sexual violence systems and responses.
- Sound written communication skills that can be adapted to a range of audiences.
- A proven ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders over time and across projects. This experience should be
related to domestic, family, and sexual violence policy development and service delivery or other similar complex social policy issues and settings.
- Project management and related administrative skills to support policy development and project delivery, including a proven ability to identify and manage risks effectively and maintain appropriate record keeping.
- An ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a small team, to be responsive to changing priorities and to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
