Project Officer

Location - Parramatta

Employment type - Temporary full-time role up to June 2023 with the possibility of an extension

Salary - $101,947 pa - $112,849 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


Systems, Funding and Cards (SFaC) aims to support the delivery of DCJ programs and priorities through the accurate administration and support of funding, grants, asset management and reporting systems as well as contract custodianship, minimising risk to service delivery and keeping service providers accountable.


What you'll do
The project officer will work within the Payments team.

The Payments Team oversees the administration of all funding and payments for grants-based contracts through the Contracting Online Management System (COMS).

The team is also responsible for the management and support of the Service Provider Contracting Portal.

The responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Working with and supporting DCJ in using COMS
  • Provide support to contract managers in relation to contracts and payments
  • Provide support and assistance to Program Managers in relation to managing their program contracts in COMS.
  • Respond to requests for reports and data information
  • Monitoring and providing advice in relation to approval delegations for funding and payments
  • Assist service providers with their reporting responsibilities through the Contracting Portal
  • Work with other teams in SPC in the management of grants and payments


COMS will be replaced with a new system, Payments and Contracts System (PACS) later in 2023 The Payments team will work closely with the PACS Implementation team in the development, testing and training in the new PACS system.
