You will play a pivotal role in developing policy analysis and advice to support the development and delivery of key strategic energy projects and initiatives.

**About the team**

The Cabinet and Legislation team works with energy policy teams to turn their policy positions into legislation and regulations. We proactively input into policy decisions and provide strategic advice on cross-portfolio policy matters and obtain approval for new policy positions.

The Strategy & Implementation division coordinates the delivery of NSW Government’s key energy and climate strategic initiatives, including the Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and the recently announced landmark $7.8 billion Rewiring the Nation deal with the Commonwealth Government.

**Your role would include**
- Provide timely, relevant analysis and advice to strategic policy issues including through coordination of cross divisional input
- Prepare a range of project or policy related documents including briefs, reports, status updates and discussion papers
- Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders on project and program delivery

**Skills and Experience**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience
- Demonstrated experience in policy management in the context of contemporary government policies and community attitudes is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
