**About - Faculty of Business and Economics**

Since 1924, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne has been preparing students for challenging and fulfilling careers in various industries. Our reputation for excellence in teaching and research is well-known both locally and internationally. The faculty comprises six departments, including Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing, as well as the esteemed Melbourne Business School.

**About - Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership**

The Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership is a recently established center that aims to promote and enhance Indigenous business leadership. It is a collaborative effort between the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) and Melbourne Business School Ltd (MBSL). The center's primary objective is to contribute to the University's goal of nurturing 1000 Indigenous business leaders by 2025. This initiative encompasses a wide range of activities, including research, undergraduate and postgraduate education, executive training, and community involvement, across FBE and MBS.

**About the Role**

The Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the Centre's operations and working closely with the Executive Officer, Programs and Engagement Stream leads, and the Research Stream lead. Their main tasks include allocating resources, supporting project teams, providing administrative assistance, and ensuring the Centre's operational effectiveness. The Programs Manager will be in charge of managing the Centre's programs and activities, including the MURRA Indigenous Business Masterclass Program and the Graduate Certificate of Indigenous Business Leadership. They will also handle engagement activities such as regional workshops in Alice Springs, Shepparton, Broome, and Yarrabah, as well as outreach activities like Indigenous Business Month and profile-raising events. Additionally, the Programs Manager will be involved in the development of new programs.

Responsibilities include:

- Manage delivery of our programs including working with the relevant stream lead, Melbourne Business School and the Faculty of Business and Economics, you will manage student selection, invoicing and onboarding.
- Manage program logistics including overseeing all aspects of program delivery such as travel requirements of faculty and participants, room bookings, catering, reading material.
- Working with the stream leads, review all contracts and partnership agreements and work with University of Melbourne legal team towards negotiation and finalisation of such agreements.
- Working with the stream leads, monitor the budget for each program and event to ensure responsible financial management.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and engage with key stakeholders. You should demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including autonomy and responsibility, to oversee program management and ensure operational success. Additionally, excellent communication skills and a passion for Indigenous business leadership are crucial for building relationships and promoting the Centre's profile.

You will also have:

- A degree and/or substantial relevant experience in a large, complex and dynamic service-orientated environment (such as legal, tertiary or government sector); or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated capacity in stakeholder management and relationship building, including liaising and negotiating effectively with people both within and outside the University (including research, industry and government).
- Understanding of budgeting processes in complex organisations.
