**SC1** Capacity to undertake routine tasks within a learning resource centre (library).

**SC2** Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students; and the capacity to provide support and supervision of students where necessary.

**SC3** Demonstrated proficiency in the use of library software systems (such as Oliver), and/or the experience and capacity to learn such systems.

**SC4** Capacity to work cooperatively in a team with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents.

**Role**:
To provide high quality service to library users, including undertaking circulation, shelving, ordering/processing of resources and other duties as required.

To provide technology-related support to both staff and students.

To maintain accuracy throughout the library catalogue.

Supervision of students in the library is part of the duties

**Responsibilities**:
Task undertaken are supported by the school library:

- Maintain the school's library digital technologies.
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the Oliver Library Management System.
- Competent use and understanding of the school management system (Compass) and maintain Compass Library resource bookings.
- Locate, retrieve, issue and shelve Library resources and maintain the order of the collection.
- Perform library stocktake and weeding of the school Library collection as required and issue overdue notices and fees for lost books.
- Order, label, cover, assemble sort and mark resources in accordance with Library procedures.
