**About the team**

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement leads initiatives focused on achievement of global engagement and the internationalisation strategy. The team works collaboratively across the University to progress international student recruitment, research and industry engagement initiatives. It establishes strategic partnerships and maintains strong relationships with key education, research, public and private sector organisations worldwide.

**About the opportunity**

You will work closely with the Associate Director, Global Engagement to provide strategic planning and direction in the Global Engagement Office’s partnerships, communications protocol and sponsorships functions. You will lead a team who provides advice and administrative support to internal and external stakeholders associated with international articulations and other pathways. You will also manage, and monitor protocol activities and duties associated with visiting delegations and hold responsibility for sponsorships and communications within the office.

**About you**

You will possess experience working with international markets and demonstrated ability to respond appropriately (and sensitively) to culturally diverse backgrounds. Strong attention to detail and management skills will be necessary. You will also possess strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.

**To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Extensive management experience at an appropriate level
- Comprehensive experience in university program development, planning and evaluation
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to develop and implement multiple projects
- Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team of staff, show initiative and ensure training and development for staff
- Experience to influence the setting of priorities, allocation of resources and ability to contribute to long term planning and key strategic direction at an influential level
- Excellent consultation and negotiation skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to solve and offer solutions for complex issues
- High level knowledge of data analysis and reporting
- Ability to navigate complex organisations and procedures to achieve beneficial outcomes for stakeholders
