We have an exciting opportunity for a manager to join our Building and Compliance team and play a pivotal leadership role in our Regulatory and Community Safety department.

As the Manager - Building and Compliance, you will be responsible for the leadership of a team of professionals who deliver development assessment and compliance services to the Playford community. You will lead the team through changes in legislation, adaptation to community expectations, you will review and consider systems and processes, and manage Council’s Building Fire Safety Committee.

Additionally, the successful applicant will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying
- Expert knowledge and practical experience in the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Regulations.

You will also have:

- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide and inspire others;
- An ability to build constructive and effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally;
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Resilience, flexibility, and a strong ability to prioritise and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environments to ensure commitments are met;
- A passion and commitment for delivering positive outcomes for the Playford community.
