**What you’ll do**:
- Determine the maintenance plans for instrumentation and control assets, including decisions on what maintenance should be done and at what frequency.
- Develop and maintain Asset Performance and Configuration standards that describe WaterNSW’s specific performance requirements and selection criteria to deliver required levels of service at the lowest life cycle cost.
- Monitor the performance of the instrumentation and controls assets class to identify trends that may affect the delivery of water to customers.
- Develop a detailed and thorough knowledge of instrumentation and control assets and ensure relevant documentary resources such as manuals and drawings are available and updated accordingly.
- Develop operational performance testing processes to validate core asset capability within area of engineering discipline and attend high criticality asset performance tests to witness validation of key asset performance capabilities.
- Utilise detailed asset knowledge, performance, and configuration standards to advise on provision of new assets, major maintenance activities, failure investigations and upgrade or renewal proposals.
**What we are looking for**:
- Experience in design, construction or maintenance in heavy industrial engineering or utility environments and exposure to asset management of electrical and control equipment relevant to WaterNSW’s asset fleet.
- Experience in a senior role or technical lead function within the electrical/controls engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with entities from other work groups working through potentially conflicting needs to accomplish shared goals and obtain agreement on actions and outcomes.
- Knowledge of WH&S Management Systems and legislation and understanding of the operation and maintenance of SCADA systems, automation, and communications technologies.
- Degree or Diploma of Electrical Engineering
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
