**The Role**
Intrusion Analysts are responsible for using all of the tools at ASD’s disposal to understand, detect and track sophisticated, state-sponsored and cybercriminal cyber activity against Australian networks.

**About our Team**
The Global Powers and Counter Cybercrime (GPCC) Branch is responsible for understanding, detecting and analysing state-sponsored and cybercriminal cyber activity targeting Australia. GPCC uses a variety of data sources to undertake analysis of malicious cyber activity targeting Australia, and produces intelligence reports that inform the highest levels of the Australian Government.

GPCC’s analysis and reporting also enables a variety of response operations to mitigate malicious cyber activity. A range of formal and on-the-job training will be provided including unique opportunities available within the intelligence community. We support part-time and flexible working arrangements.
- Understanding or experience with network traffic, host telemetry or protocol analysis; and ability to analyse this data to identify anomalous behaviour.
- Demonstrated ability to use communication skills to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work well with a team of technical specialists of various backgrounds in a high paced operational environment.
