**Position purpose**:
Reporting to the GM of Logistics, this position will provide overall leadership and direction in the effective and efficient management of Construction Systems’ investment in inventory and systems while maintaining focus on optimising stock holdings. The role is responsible for driving towards best practice “inventory planning and management” principles to achieve cost objectives as well as excellence in service levels.

**What you'll be doing**:
**Inventory Operations**
- Manage all elements of inventory control across all Construction Systems brands (Hebel, Cemintel and AFS) including cycle counting, stock adjustments, damages and write-offs, inventory reduction accuracy, stock takes, managing flow of inbound stock (manufactured off the production line & interstate transfers) and managing stock levels v demand forecast for direct to customers, resellers and the GTC network (Cemintel only)
- Reporting on risks, potential service outages. Weekly reporting and IRA monthly reporting
- Ensure site has sufficient timber pallet supplied via SAPManage and co-ordinate the inventory processes to meet policy and to ensure service levels are met and the sites:

- Maintain the recording of the IRA results on a daily and monthly basis
- Conduct quarterly inventory max/min and ABC analysis of inventory
- Maintain inventory accuracy by the way of conducting and fully documenting the root cause analysis (RCA) as required for discrepancies as per the policy
- Liaise with Construction Systems Demand and Supply Planning team and work within IBP scope
- Prepare and issue relevant KPI dashboards that manage inventory
- Establish a plan that manages slow moving stock
- Liaise daily with distribution staff, customer service staff, production planners and production staff to resolve issues that occur
- Work closely with brand Logistics Managers
- Monitor and measure inventory levels within 3PL arrangements.

**People Development & Management**
- Demonstrate leadership through coaching, training, developing and mentoring staff to achieve their potential through Achieve Smart Goals
- Build strong collaborative relationships with key functional areas of the business
- Develop a good working culture that embraces standard operating procedure compliance, continuous improvement, idea generation, innovation and collaboration

**What you'll bring**:

- 5+ years in an inventory management position, ideally with high number of SKUs or across multiple brands/products
- High level of competency in general business software inclusive of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Experience in using a Warehouse Management System, preferably SAP
- Able to deal with ambiguity and change
- Strategic thought leadership skills with an active, hands on execution approach
- Innovation and inspirational leadership and able to drive an engaging high-performance culture
- Sophisticated change management skills
- Strong ability to build relationships internally and externally to identify and support cross functional opportunities/ delivery of CSR strategies
- Exceptional planning and prioritisation skills
- Takes accountability and delivers on commitments
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen.
