The key responsibilities of this position are to undertake analysis on a range of datasets to assist in the drafting of the Victorian Skills Plan; provide analysis and insights to support Victorian government workforce development priorities; and assist in the development of insights products to support the Victorian Skills Plan.

The Victorian Skills Authority (VSA), an Administrative Office of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) portfolio, is currently seeking an Economic Research Officer as part of the Skills Plan Unit, responsible for developing and delivering the annual Victorian Skills Plan.
The Victorian Skills Plan, the VSA's marquee product, sets out training needs both for local communities and industries, for the year ahead and beyond and include a focus on the state's areas of economic growth. The Plan helps decision-makers understand broad workforce trends, challenges and opportunities.
Based at the Melbourne CBD, you will be joining a hard-working, experienced, and skilled group of people who are committed to making the Victorian vocational and training system the best it can be and aligned to the needs of people exploring training options in Victoria.
