**The Opportunity**

The School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine (SPHPM) is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow who will have the opportunity to work within the joint venture between the Health Economics Group within SPHPM and the National Ageing Research Institute (NARI). This position will primarily undertake research related to health economics in ageing and dementia, including economic analyses and outcome measurement work.
- Leading and contributing to original research around health economics, economic evaluation and priority setting within the context of ageing and dementia
- The conduct of research either as a member of a team or independently and the production of conference and seminar papers and publications from that research
- The supervision of research-support staff involved in the staff member's research
- Guidance in the research effort of junior members of research-only Academic staff in their research area

**About you**

As the successful incumbent, you will hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area (preferably health economics) or equivalent qualifications (e.g., in health services research or epidemiology) or research experience in the relevant field.

Your demonstrated statistical and qualitative analysis and manuscript and research proposal preparation skills; experience in successfully supervising, mentoring and coaching to support the development of research staff; and ability to work both independently in a research environment and as part of an interdisciplinary research team will ensure your success in this position.
