**Be challenged and imagine with us**:
As an Experience Designer, you will be responsible for ensuring a user voice is included in the development and delivery of digital products and solutions for the University. Using your skills in problem-solving and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, you will lead the design process with project teams and provide thoughtful continuous improvement design strategies for platform and product maintenance.

In this role you will:

- Contribute to the evolution of the Service Experience Team through and implement the team’s strategic design direction.
- Lead the design process within a project team, including discovery of user needs, creating and executing research plans, designing digital solutions based on research insights and working iteratively to contribute to product evolution
- Produce design artefacts that add value to project understanding for the whole product team.
- Professionally represent the Service experience team by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert design advice in an SME capacity
- This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)._

**How will you inspire us?**:
You will have:

- Experience in user research, user-centred design methodologies, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully identify and address user journey pain points and business stakeholder concerns.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate the value of design to non-design focused stakeholders.

**What we offer**:
The remuneration for this position is from $91,259 to $102,667 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Degree in a relevant field (Design, Information Technology, Communications, or similar) with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in user research, user-centred design methodologies, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Including proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Balsamiq Miro, FigJam or Mural.
- Ability to deliver user-centric iterative products and services, translating strategy and user research insights into resolved digital solutions, working independently and cooperatively as an effective member of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and an inter-disciplinary way of working, including the ability to share design knowledge with non-design staff in a collaborative team environment to improve the design literacy of the business unit.
