- Promote innovation and adaptability
About the organisation
The Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC) is established by the Public Administration Act 2004. Its mandate is to strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness and capability of the public sector to meet existing and emerging needs, to deliver high quality services, and to maintain and advocate for public sector professionalism and integrity. The Commission actively works with Victorian organisations to embed and communicate shared values, principles, policies and accountabilities.
About the role
Providing stewardship across the entire Victorian public sector, the Commissioner leads the work of the VPSC and is a member of the Victorian Secretaries Board. Providing superior leadership and commitment to policy, service and administration excellence across the public sector, key priorities for the Commissioner include driving capability outcomes through evidence informed policy, advice and workforce management, ensuring the VPSC delivers on its strategic plan and building on opportunities to ensure continued public sector responsiveness in a post pandemic setting. The Commissioner models and upholds integrity and builds highly effective relationships across sectors, working to support knowledge exchange, delivery on VPSC objectives and to foster innovation.

Well credentialed, you leverage deep, robust, relationships, and confidently advise Secretaries and Ministers on complex, sensitive issues. You empower others, thrive when collaborating, and are excited to bring to life your focus on outcomes and active thought leadership, towards ensuring Victoria remains the benchmark of public service.
