**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health and Neuroscience, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.
**About Growth and Partnerships**:
The Growth and Partnerships (G&P) function at QIMR Berghofer is an outward looking function responsible for economic development, growth, and engagement with government stakeholders to gain support for inward public sector investment and facilitate initiatives for the growth of research programs, assets and sustainability in the longer term.
**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
The Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships Officer is responsible for coordinating effective stakeholder engagement activities, and supporting all initiatives of the Growth and Partnerships function at QIMR Berghofer. This role is pivotal in supporting stakeholder engagement, meeting preparation and activities through planning, stakeholder mapping, and content development.
You will build collaborative relationships with internal teams to identify opportunities to support key initiatives for growth as well work collaboratively with project teams to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the research community.
**About you**:
In addition to tertiary qualifications in management, business, stakeholder management or marketing; you will have demonstrated experience in an industry development, market research or stakeholder relations role. Extensive experience working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is essential as is strong stakeholder management skills. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate on all levels. Demonstrated experience in developing business reports and funding proposals is also required. Working on-site in the life sciences sector would be highly regarded.
**Remuneration**:This is a full-time appointment for one year in the first instance. A package will be negotiated commensurate to the applicant’s skills and experience. This will include generous super and salary packaging.
