**About Scientific Services**:
Scientific Services provides a diverse array of support services to researchers across QIMR Berghofer; including flow cytometry, microscopy, histology, GMP production, animal facilities, veterinary services, analytical facilities, sample processing services, scientific equipment management and cryogenics.

**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a hard-working person to join the team to provide care and husbandry to several species of animals housed in the Animal Facility.

In this role, you will be required to clean cages, prepare food, water and bedding for breeding and research animals. You will also be responsible for disposing of waste materials in accordance with standard operating procedures and other general housekeeping tasks.

**About you**:
To be successful, you will have experience in aseptic techniques, sterilisation processes and quality control. Working well in a team is paramount to this role, as is the proven ability to maintain accurate records. Although not essential, experience in laboratory animal husbandry is desirable.

**Remuneration**: Salary range is $53,361 to $58,130 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a permanent full-time appointment.
