**Location**:Kensington, Sydney.

**Why this role matters**

You will have the opportunity to develop your scholarly research and professional activities and contribute significantly to achieving the teaching and service missions of the Schools and Faculty of Medicine & Health.

This position will be responsible for providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander curriculum design and teaching support into the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences and School of Health Sciences programs and at times into other programs within the Faculty of Medicine & Health.

**Who you are**:

- Bachelors degree, ideally in the field of education or Indigenous health, and/ or relevant work experience. Masters or PhD in the fields of education or Indigenous health would be an advantage or a demonstrated commitment to work towards a Masters and PhD.
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of the issues, directions and challenges in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
- Sound knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history or extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations, and to create and maintain ties with relevant academic and professional staff.
- Sound understanding of University and Faculty administration, practices, policies and procedures.
- Proven record of management experience with effective strategic leadership and team building capabilities.
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with superior professional presentation attributes and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and/or community level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- A track record of significant involvement with the profession and/or industry.
