**The Company**:
A great Association based in Melbourne CBD that look after a large group of members from right across Victoria are looking for a Event Coordinator to join their team on a 6-Month contract basis.

**The Role**:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the management of both internal and external stakeholders in the design, delivery and evaluation of major events. This role will also be responsible for supporting supports design, delivery, and evaluation of over 20 events/activities.

Key Responsibilities include;
- Working in partnership with relevant internal and external stakeholders to scope event requirements, desired outcomes, budget and roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders involved
- Sourcing and booking appropriate venues to cater for events ranging from small meetings to large conferences, with a delegate range of 5-500pax
- Sourcing and booking suppliers and contractors including but not limited to caterers, exhibition hire companies, designers, photographers, tech and audio-visual specialists and entertainment
- Sourcing and booking master of ceremonies, guest speakers and facilitators and liaising with them as required
- Raising purchase orders and invoicing as required
- Adhering to Association purchasing and procurement policies and procedures in relation to all business and financial transactions
- Assisting with events on the day, including after hours as required, and provide support and assistance to event owner, exhibitors, sponsors, and delegates
- Assisting in the management of sponsorship administration
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships and to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Great time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to engage and form relationships with senior managers within councils and senior external stakeholders
- Proficiency in event management systems such as Cvent, Eventbrite or similar
