**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Full Time - Ongoing
- Band 3 - $65,499 (including Industry Allowance) + Maintenance Allowance + 11% superannuation

The Open Space & Environment Department are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive person to assist with parks & gardens operations and tree maintenance in line with priorities and demands.

This includes, but not limited to:

- Carry out horticulture or tree maintenance work to ensure compliance with Asset Management Plans and other service levels.
- Operate plant or equipment including chippers, chainsaws, mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, blowers, spray equipment, traffic management, and if required, Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
- Pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment used.
- Adopting safety procedures that ensure the protection of employees and the public.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You will have knowledge and/or experience in horticulture or arboriculture management or a similar role. This includes an understanding of how to safely and competently undertake a range of open space and tree maintenance duties including the use of plant and equipment.

You will be known for your excellent attention to detail, time management and the ability to work well within a team and you must be prepared to work from Leongatha or Foster.

You will have/or are able to obtain the following certificates and licenses:

- Current automatic or manual Drivers License
- Experience in horticulture, and/or tree maintenance
- Experience in the operation of a variety of plant & equipment
- Satisfactory Police Records Check
- Construction Industry Red/White Card
