**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Full Time Ongoing Position
- $88,768 + 11% Superannuation
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Open Space & Environment Team and make a visible difference in our community. The Open Space Assets and Project Officer will work on a variety of projects, from developing new to improving existing spaces. The role is also responsible for the management of Council’s open space assets, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.

Reporting directly to the Manager Open Space & Environment this position works closely with a range of teams including the Infrastructure Planning and Infrastructure Delivery Departments.

This role will be a key contact to provide education and communication relating to new developments, streetscapes and placemaking.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for the environment and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes. As an effective communicator, will also be responsible for the management of contractors and internal stakeholders, and the development of relationships with the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of Open Space Asset Management Principles, or experience dealing with the development of public open space or infrastructure during the planning stage. You will be a team player with great collaboration, time management and project oversight skills.

A tertiary qualification in Asset Management and/or Open Space or related experience in the management of open space will be highly regarded, and you must also have attained Year 12 secondary education or equivalent.
