- Salary HEW 7 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements-
- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.About You
The Learning and Teaching Specialist is responsible for providing expertise in professional development, problem-solving, collaboration, curriculum development, and knowledge of policy and quality frameworks within the higher education environment. The incumbent will facilitate impactful professional development opportunities, provide guidance and support to academic staff, and consult and collaborate with stakeholders to promote innovation and best practice in learning and teaching. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills and an understanding of contemporary practices in education.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Experience in curriculum design, development and assessment approaches for face-to-face, blended and online learning modes, based on contemporary educational research and theory.-
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the design and implementation of educational projects and professional development initiatives.-
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and collaboration skills and the ability to forge productive relationships that influence improvements in learning and teaching quality.-
- Knowledge of the principles and practices for quality assurance and learning and teaching related policy and frameworks (e.g. AQF, TEQSA) within the tertiary education environment.-
- Proven capacity to work pro-actively across teams or independently, meeting timeframes and delivering outcomes. Demonstrated outstanding problem solving and critical thinking ability and flexibility to adapt work practices and models according to need.-
- Relevant experience within a university or other educational setting.-
- High-level written, verbal and digital communication skills.- Qualifications:
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent in a teaching or training or related discipline; or demonstrable experience.
