About the opportunity

The payroll Officer is responsible for the administration of clients’ payroll processing. Our outsourced environment provides opportunities to deliver payroll services to clients with a team-based approach, offering diversity, learning opportunities and long-term career options that cannot be found in in-house payroll roles. This is an ideal next step for an experienced payroll officer looking to broaden their skillset and capabilities.

What you’ll get to do
- Abide by Ceridian’s Code of Conduct, Values and Policies and Procedures
- Be aware of and comply with all Ceridian and customer Information Security protocols
- Adhere to all Information Security Standards Policies and Procedures
- Provide accurate and timely payroll services including:

- end-to-end payroll processing
- end of month payroll balancing & reporting
- end of year payroll balancing and Single Touch Payroll reconciliation and lodgement
- Maintain personnel data and customer support databases to ensure systems reflect current information e.g. terminations, adjustments and classifications changes
- Answer incoming telephone calls, log requests and assist with customer queries
- Attend team meetings and provide feedback and input on operational issues
- Provide assistance to other Payroll Officers and Payroll teams

Skills and experience we value
- Ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, Superannuation etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and on time
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, payments and payroll processing for assigned clients
- Quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage
- Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee enquiries
- Provide HR/Payroll support services to clients per contract, government compliance and business needs
- Create, update and review standard operating procedures and perform quarterly document reviews
- Provide accurate and timely payroll services including:
