The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has the public responsibility for managing one of the largest and the most successful stadiums in Australia and the world - the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The MCG is more than just a stadium, it’s an Australian icon and a meeting place for generations past, present and future. The MCG is host to more than 70 major events and attracts over three million visitors annually.

A great opportunity has become available in the MCC People & Culture team, for an experienced **Payroll Specialist**, working on a permanent part time basis - 22.8hrs per week. This specialist position reports to the Payroll & Reporting Specialist and its main focus is to deliver accurate processing and administration of the MCC permanent monthly payroll. In addition you are required to collate and analyse data to produce quality reports for the business and other external stakeholders. The role also requires you to provide regular support and to the weekly casual Event staff payroll and back up of the fortnightly payroll as required.

This roles requires solid understanding of payroll legislation and Awards and strong capacity for numerical reasoning and reconciliations. It is essential that you have experience in processing and administering payrolls, in an accurate and timely manner.

To be successful in this role, you will also bring the following experience and capabilities:

- Excellent and accurate computer and data entry skills with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to analyse data and produce quality reports
- The ability to diplomatically and discreetly handle sensitive and confidential information
- An ability to build and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships with a strong customer service focus, especially when responding to internal employee enquiries
- A natural eye for detail, with a strong focus on quality and standards
- A strong sense of teamwork, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment
- Strong planning and organisational capabilities, including the ability to prioitise and adapt based on workload requirements
- Knowledge of HR/IR and Payroll legislation including Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, Fair Work Act, ATO and Superannuation legislation and fund administration

Preferable but not essential
- Experience with ADP is preferred but not essential
