- You will lead the Commercial & Contracts team, with two direct reports, within the Commercial & Performance function at Sydney Light Rail. The scope extends from managing the front end of new projects and business growth opportunities, to ensuring high standards of contract administration, and responsibility for complex and varied claims and disputes. You and your team are also responsible for third party interfaces and management of strategic subcontractors.

Strong negotiation skills, an appetite for challenges that don’t fit neatly into simple boxes and the ability to collaborate with other teams across the business will enable you to succeed in this role. Our flat structure and open communication channels mean that you will be engaging directly with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Working in close proximity to the light rail network, you’ll be able to see and touch the commercial issues that you are working on, with the ability to spend time at the depots, operations centre and on the vehicles

**What you bring**
- In addition to tertiary qualifications (commerce, engineering, law or related), your recent experience may include working in a commercial function within high value contracts in infrastructure projects or operations. You will have a passion for bringing complex issues to a resolution and commitment to provide the highest standards of contract compliance.
- Regardless of industry you will possess the ability to provide commercial / business acumen that supports financial and contract performance. Equally important is the ability to engage and build effective working relationships, combined with excellent verbal, numerical and written communications skills.
