**The opportunity**
Internal Audit teams' purpose in AMP is to provide the Board and Management with objective assurance and advice, and act as a catalyst for optimising governance and risk management.
Internal Audit is an independent function within AMP, reporting functionally to the Board Audit Committee. Assurance work and special purpose reviews are undertaken across all divisions and functions, focussed on AMPs material risk exposures. AMP is made up of Bank, Advice, Superannuation, Investments, Platforms and New Zealand business lines, enabled by Technology, Finance, Risk and People functions.
**How you will make an impact**
Reporting to Head of Internal Audit, your role will involve executing and participating in audits across the business and enablement functions, including operational risk and compliance risk focussed reviews. You will have exposure across all AMP businesses and business units.
In this role, you will contribute to the broader ongoing AMP Transformation and Strategic Execution, by supporting management requests for third line assurance and providing valuable risk insights in a pragmatic and commercial manner.
In order to provide assurance that is insightful, relevant and commercial (proactive and pragmatic), the main focus areas for this role are as follows:
- Execute and assist in delivering internal audits, in accordance with the IA vision and strategic objective of “providing relevant, timely and insightful advice using a collaborative approach to help AMP achieve its objectives”
- Determine business risks, audit scope and resource requirements as part of engagement planning
- Develop and execute a risk-based audit program
- Understand risk impact and root cause of issues and reflect this in audit reports Provide credible advice based on strong business insights and risk management assurance in all interactions
**What you will bring to the role**
Experience & Qualifications required
- At least 4 years internal audit / assurance experience with a proven capability around adding value and insights
- Graduate qualifications ideally with a post graduate qualification.
- Valued qualifications/memberships: IIA Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing / CIA), IIA Membership
Job Specific Capabilities Required
In addition to your experience and qualifications, you should be able to demonstrate an excellent level of competency in the following:
- Understanding of the Australian Financial Services Industry and its regulatory regimes.
- Preferred experience in operational risk assurance, risk management /risk management frameworks (e.g. CPS 220), prudential/regulatory compliance assurance (e.g. CPS 231, Product Design and Distribution, Complaints), risk advisory/assurance, data governance/privacy
- Other valued technical experience in Wealth Management, Advice and Retail Banking
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at a range of levels. Demonstrated capacity for commercial oriented problem solving
