About the Organisation

Respect Victoria was established as a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018 on the 4th October 2018. We have a broad focus on the primary prevention of family violence and violence against women in Victoria, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide state-wide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change.

About the role

Reporting into the organisations’ strategic advisor, this role as Executive Assistant is to directly support the CEO, day to day as well as providing diary management support to 3 additional directors in the organisation.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Developing administrative processes that ensure the smooth operation of the CEO’s office

Providing confidential executive administration support and the continued development and delivery of high-quality governance services, and effective administrative systems and processes

Operating with a high level of discretion, autonomy, and accountability in a sensitive and complex environment

Coordinating, quality-assured correspondence, briefs, submissions, reports and other CEO or Board level communications to support the efficient development and finalisation of Board papers to allow the CEO adequate time to review and make changes

The ability to navigate and work with different stakeholders across government, Ministerial Offices, business and the NFP sector

Proactively take appropriate follow-up action to ensure that matters are dealt with promptly and efficiently, and to a high standard.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in administration as an Executive Assistant. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable dealing across all levels from Director and above as well as navigating the complexity of organisations and/or government departments when following up on information and actions for Respect Victoria.

You are excellent at diary management, you are a proficient minutes and board notes taker, able to then concisely compile this information into short snapshots for the directors as needed.

You are professional, organised, efficient, proactive, able to work independently, being the trusted partner to the CEO executing your responsibilities with speed and accuracy. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, you are a natural influencer, with a can-do attitude.
