**About the Role**

The Parking Services area is responsible for the efficient and effective management of on-street Parking Compliance and parking related services for the City of Port Phillip. An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong leadership, strategic and organisational skills who would enjoy the challenges offered by a role as a Team Leader in the Parking Services team.

This newly created role will provide hands on supervision and in-field guidance to staff within the Parking Enforcement Team and School Crossing Supervisor team with the aim of ensuring the optimum utilisation of the available parking resources in the City of Port Phillip, and focused on improving the safety of road users and protecting residential amenity.

This role will see you lead the day-to-day operations of the City of Port Phillip Parking Enforcement team. As a key leader in our team, you will play a major role in promoting positive change to encourage and develop an effective and productive team culture. One of the focus areas of this position will be to lead the Parking Enforcement team to be results driven and focus on providing a safe accessible city for all road users and pedestrians.

You will be a dynamic and motivated individual with a proven record of providing strong leadership to frontline operational teams. The ability to cultivate and strengthen internal relationships will also be one of your strong points. The position will provide Contract administration assistance and play a lead role in future parking technology projects.

This position calls for excellent customer service skills and values, including the ability to prioritise and communicate in a way that maximises team performance & service delivery. Knowledge of, and the ability to, implement human resource practices including Equal Employment Opportunity, Recruitment & Selection, Occupational Health &Safety, Training & Development, and Performance Management.
- Ability to manage own time and that of the team in planning, prioritising and organise work to manage conflicting priorities
- Advanced technical skills acquired within a compliance/regulatory setting
- Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated staff management and conflict resolution skills
- A sound understanding of Council services and their functions
