The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 01 January 2023 to improve Victorian's experience of doing business and interacting with the government.
DGS brings together Digital Victoria, Service Victoria, Local Government Victoria, Consumer Affairs Victoria, the grant program centre and consolidates procurement policy as well as the Working with Children Checks and Births, Deaths and Marriages. Oversight of Cenitex and the Public Record Office Victoria also sits with DGS.
Part of the Consumer Affairs division, Dispute Services is a multi-dispute agency which includes Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV) and Dispute Settlement Centre Victoria (DSCV).
An exciting opportunity exists for a Lead Officer, Dispute Resolution to join a dedicated Client Services team supporting the operation of DBDRV, fixed term to 01 March 2024.
The role of Lead Officer, Dispute Resolution is responsible for providing direct leadership of a team of Dispute Resolution Officers to deliver a high standard of service to DBDRV clients.
The Lead Officer supports Dispute Resolution Officers with case management strategies, including identifying opportunities for early resolution, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to build capability within their team and ensure consistent service delivery.
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation and Acts including but not limited to the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995
- Experience leading operational teams
- National Mediator Accreditation and dispute resolution/conciliation experience desirable.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

COVID-19 digital certificate(available via your myGov account)
Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
